This is the moment when Christ is approaching his disciples on the stormy waters. This was a painting that I wanted to do but could not visualize it in my mind on how to approach it. I kept seeing a beautiful sunset and that just didn't feel right. I put that idea on hold for a while. When I came back to it, I started thinking more about the water itself and what that might look like. Then it all came together, once I could see the tumultuous waters and a wave crashing through as Jesus was walking peacefully on the waters amongst the storms, the paint was finished in record time.
