Time To Laugh

My image of Emma in the beginning was one of sadness. Although my first impression of her is probably accurate to some degree, common sense tells me that not all things are bad all the time. If you live long enough you come to realize the balance. That holds true for all of us. Nauvoo was the balance. It provided time for the saints to rest from the past and recharge for the future. Emma had time in Nauvoo to do and be all the things that she had longed for. It was a time to delight in all her roles: Prophet’s wife, a leader of women and a mother. It was a time of rest and peace and of confidence and laughter.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh…”

Liz Lemon Swindle began her painting career in first grade. Her first exhibitions were on the refrigerator, encouraged by her father. In the early 1980s she tutored under renowned wildlife artist, Nancy Glazier. In 1992, Liz began painting a subject matter she had long desired to approach: her faith. Her paintings are now held in corporate and private collections around the world and have been published in countless magazines and books. Liz and her husband Jon have five children and thirteen grandchildren.
