According to the legend, Zeus was angry at Prometheus for stealing fire from the gods. His revenge was to present Pandora, the first mortal woman, to Epimetheus, Prometheus' brother. The Olympian Gods bestowed her with gifts as part of the ceremony. Included was a box that contained death, disease, and all sorts of evils that then did not exist in the world. Zeus knew Pandora woudl one day open the box.
After all these evils escaped the box into the then Garden of Eden like world, all that was said to remain in the box was Hope.
This has been a year in which the idea of Hope has taken extra meaning to us all, and it seems like letting it free into this world today would be a good thing as well.
Our Float Frame is custom-made with a small gap between the frame and canvas to accentuate the edges of the artwork and give the illusion of a floating image within the frame.
