The Good Seed

A few days this week, I've had triggers come up that left me feeling overwhelmed and ungrounded. I find this to be the case when I focus too much on concerns in the world and step into the comparison of my life to others.

I am then left, in these moments, with concern over where I am at in life, how I am raising my children, and all the choices I've made that I've prayed over and felt peace in previously.

As I sat down to work on a new piece this week, the parable of the wheat and the tares came to my mind. I went with it, but I realised as I was painting that the inspiration was not simply for the piece; it was grounding me with the remembrance that no matter what anyone else's path looks like here on Earth, no matter what messages surround me, I am taken care of as I follow my Saviour and continue to pray to my Heavenly Parents for guidance.

Life is just so hard sometimes, but there is no greater peace and safety than in the knowledge of that truth.

Also, anyone else ready for Autumn, because I feel like my desire for it is present in this piece aside from all of that, too

My name is Natasha Taylor. I'm a British 30-something and I am passionate about creativity! Art has always been a passion of mine for as long I can remember. That and Motherhood combined is a dream. Having the courage to share in a significant space only came when I realized the example I wanted to be for my children - An example of courage, making dreams a reality, and believing in our own ability - all of which I needed to learn as well! 

I finally opened my art studio to the world in 2020, sharing work through the means of portraiture. I was not entirely sure how successful I would be, so it blew me away to feel such appreciation and love for my work from so many! Though, I still take a few portraits a month, my main focus, recently, has been in pieces of my heart and inspiration from the ebbs and flows of life. Once again, I am overcome with the response and support. I am so grateful I didn’t deny myself the opportunity to be vulnerable, but even more grateful for the encouragement received! Thank you to every one of you who have shown up a long the way.
