Story Behind the Art

Once there was a girl named Brinley. She was 16. She lived with her parents in a wealthy home. At the time, people in the world were losing their faith in Jesus. Brinleys parents were not believers and also many of people she went to school with. One day Brinley got diagnosed with a muscle disorder. She was very sick. She was home in bed one day looking on YouTube feeling hopeless for her future.

She came acrossed a band on YouTube that was playing Christian music. The song talked about prayer. Brinley had to go into an operation for her disease. It was life-threatening. Brinley was listening to this song that she heard on YouTube over and over. Then she began to think she would try to pray just thinking maybe she could have a miracle. The next week she went into operation the doctors told her parents there would be a lot of difficult with this operation. There was not much hope she went in for the operation. As Brinley was asleep in the operation the song keep playing in her mind. Shewas comforted. She woke up and felt relief all over her body. The doctors said operation was a success As time went by Brinley began to heal and eventually she was healed. in her school she was in debate class and she had to write a something that she would debate. She knew exactly what she wanted to write it on her love for the savior. She was nervous to write her report. But It came to her and she named the report that Everlasting God. She told in the report about her miracle and how she was healed. People in her class respected her from then on. She helped people believe in Jesus again because Jesus is the Everlasting God.

About the Artist

Spencer Rasmussen began his painting career at the old age of three. His works were done in a crayon medium that his grandmother and mother still enjoy to this day. In the late 1990's he attended Viewmont High School in Bountiful, UT were in thrived in the classes that let him use his creativity. He has since developed his talent through schooling at Salt Lake Community College, and later in classes taught by renowned Christian artist Liz Lemon Swindle and inspirational artist Sheri Doty.

Spencer has moved on from the Crayola box into more diverse mediums that include oil, acrylic, and colored pencil. He enjoys using various mediums but the one thing that remains constant is his desire to draw subject matter that is close to his heart; his faith.

His artwork is currently being sold privately and in various galleries in Northern Utah. His hope for the years to come is to share his love for the Savior throughout the world with his artwork. He is married to a caring, supportive wife and has an energetic, loving son.
