Spring is a wonderfully uncertain time of year when everything starts to grow. In Utah, springtime is frequently erratic. Rain, frost, sunshine, snow. Bright and warm one day and dark and icy the next. Two steps forward and one step back. And then, all too soon, spring is over.

This piece is composed with 63 individual panels of the same branch on different days in the spring.

Kamette is a mother of six who paints because she loves it. However, this means that she is often found in her studio late at night after everyone else has gone to sleep. She is fascinated by beauty and is always working with different mediums to try and capture it. She wants her work to communicate those ideas that just can’t quite be communicated in any other way. It is that wonderful quality of art that drives her.
