In a lot of my work, I use rain as a symbol for mental illness. To you, the rain may symbolize some other struggle you are experiencing. As I’ve gotten older, I realize more and more every day that some of the hardest things I’ve been through are the things I am most grateful for. They have made me empathetic, compassionate, tender-hearted, and open minded. That’s how I feel about my mental health struggles. It has taken me twenty years, but I feel like I am finally learning to love the rain. It has helped me to bloom.

To anyone struggling with mental health I wish I could say, you are a beautiful masterpiece just as you are. Your brokenness is a part of what makes up your beautiful soul. You are not alone. You are blooming, though you may not feel like it yet.

Our Float Frame is custom-made with a small gap between the frame and canvas to accentuate the edges of the artwork and give the illusion of a floating image within the frame.
