Salt has immense value both as a seasoning and as a preservative. A pillar of salt, therefore, has great potential for good, but remains somewhat useless until it’s grounded down to dust. Lot’s wife was turned to a pillar of salt when she looked back and away from Christ. In turning away, her great potential was hardened up into a useless form. Regardless of who we are, our great capacities become forces for good or evil depending on the focus of our lives. By looking to Christ, those capacities bless the earth, or, if we look away, they remain dormant.

Kamette is a mother of six who paints because she loves it. However, this means that she is often found in her studio late at night after everyone else has gone to sleep. She is fascinated by beauty and is always working with different mediums to try and capture it. She wants her work to communicate those ideas that just can’t quite be communicated in any other way. It is that wonderful quality of art that drives her.
