Inspired by the myth of Sisyphus, "Redemption's Ascent," features an old man pushing a heavy stone up a rocky slope. The story of Sisyphus tells of a man condemned to endlessly push a boulder uphill, only to watch it roll back down each time. Similarly, the old man in our painting represents humanity's struggles with sin and redemption. But in our version, Jesus stands beside him, sharing the burden. With Jesus by his side, the narrative changes. Jesus offers strength and support, transforming the journey from one of despair to one of hope and redemption.
