When NASA asked artist James Christensen to participate in their twenty-fifth anniversary show, he responded that he was strictly a low tech artist. Intrigued, NASA officials invited Christensen to create a low tech space machine. "Low Tech" was the result of James’ fertile imagination and everyday objects from his father’s basement. With a Campbell soup can communication system and a pair of Leonardo daVinci-style stabilizers, it is easy to picture this space age barnstormer going where no flashlight has gone before.
Our Float Frame is custom-made with a small gap between the frame and canvas to accentuate the edges of the artwork and give the illusion of a floating image within the frame.
