I Have Graven Thee

Yes, it is possible for us to forget who we truly are and from Whom we came from, but it is impossible for the Lord to forget us. “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hand; thy walls are continually before me.”

We are sacred to the Lord. We are His everything and for that He gave all that He had, even His own life, that He might reclaim our souls and gift us with all that we have and are, even new life. Indeed, “greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” What more proof do we need that we are loved? As He has graven us in the palms of His hands, may His sacred name likewise be forever written in the fleshy tables of our new and quickened hearts.
