Guarding The Flock

Inspired by Psalm 23:1-3, this painting depicts a solitary shepherd watching over his flock – a symbol of God’s guidance. This artwork invites us to contemplate the comforting words of Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake”

I am a self-taught artist, born and raised in Ukraine. I was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1993 when it first started in my country. My journey as an artist began during my teenage years, but I put it aside to focus on my academic pursuits. In 2020, I reignited my passion for creating, returning to the affection I had once set aside. 

In my art, I strive to find greatness in the simple things and highlight the often-overlooked beauty in the world around us. I aim to explore meaningful moments, often incorporating hidden details that reflect truth and invite deeper reflection. I firmly believe in the transformative power of art—not just as a visual medium, but as a way to reach into our homes and connect profoundly with our spirits.
