Gift to the King

Have you heard the story of the shepherd boy who came to worship the new baby King but had no gift to give because he was poor? The Magi brought gold, frankincense, and mur but the boy only had a lamb. Often we think our gifts aren't perfect or worth enough. It is good to know that we can come exactly as we are to Christ. In fact, He says to come as a child, meek like a lamb, and humble, as the shepherd boy was.

Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
