Copper, Brass, and Poppies

Sun, summer, green lawns, and red poppies. These are a few of my favorite things especially when set off by shining brass and copper. This painting was done on a hot afternoon sunshine day in June. It seemed to me as I sat outside under my umbrella that nothing could be
so glorious. This painting still fills me with the sweet smells and sounds of summer.
