Bicentennial Celebration of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

August 13, 1805 was a pivotal moment for the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Captain Lewis and three of his men make contact with the warriors of the Lemhi Shoshoni Tribe they were in desperate need of their horses in order to be able to cross the Rockie Mountains - but the chief and his warriors had prepared for a battle. The outcome of this encounter would determine the success or failure of the expedition (a detailed account of this incident comes with the print).
